We live in an area called Robson Valley, British Columbia, in Canada. I've made a gallery of photos for you.
Here at our acreage, I have a grooming shop and boarding kennel, Robson Valley Pet Hostel. This business has been a joy to me since 1984. The lifestyle is particularly relevant because I graduated from Olds College, Alberta, as an Animal Health Technician, in 1976. My husband, Gary, and I love animals of almost every kind, and have lived with many over the years. At the moment, we have only a few pets of our own, and have plenty of time to devote to our animal guests.
When Gary came to live with me in 1999, he brought a plan and the ambition to plant a large field of strawberries for a U-pick strawberry business. We struggled with the grasses and other weeds for several years, and though the taste of the strawberries was exquisite, we finally gave the field back to pasture land.
Together, Gary and I have developed more areas for gardens, in order to eat and sell organic vegetables. We both love flowers, and sell perennial plants from home and the local Farmer's Markets.
The Rocky Mountains and Cariboo Mountains are our backdrops; the beauty here makes work, gardening, or any activity seem more pleasant.
